Hammond CSB603 600A 3-Wire Splitter Box, 30x24x7 Type 1 Steel

The CSB603 is a 600 A, 3-wire splitter box with factory-installed splitter blocks, housed in a 30 in x 24 in x 7 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 178 mm) Type 1 steel enclosure. It serves electrical contractors distributing a large 3-wire service to several branch conductors in indoor locations.

The CSB Series ordering table rates this size at 600/600 A for copper and aluminum conductors and lists the CSBL600 as its splitter block reference. The series is designed for indoor distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max with 3 or 4 wires, and 75 °C conductor ampacity is permitted. The 4-wire model is the CSB604 and the empty box is the CSB600.

The CSB603 is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge steel, with enclosure and cover finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. A hinged door secured by a screw, a padlocking hasp and a series of knockouts on each side are standard. The drawing shows a 24.25 in x 30.25 in door, a 23.69 in x 29.86 in door opening and Ø0.25 in rear mounting holes spaced 21.00 in x 27.00 in.

It is CSA Type 1, complies with IEC 60529 IP20, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. The CSB603 ships boxed at 64 lbs (29.03 kg); UPC 623980263755.
