Hammond CSB600 30x24x7 Empty Splitter Box, 14 Gauge Steel

The CSB600 is a 30 in x 24 in x 7 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 178 mm) Type 1 splitter box from the CSB Series, supplied without splitter blocks. It is aimed at electricians and panel builders who need room for high-current indoor distribution and prefer to install the block themselves.

This size is rated 600/600 A (copper/aluminum) in the ordering table and lists the CSBL600 as its splitter block reference. With blocks factory installed, the same box is the CSB603 (3 wire) or CSB604 (4 wire). The series is designed for indoor distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max using 3 or 4 wires, with 75 °C conductor ampacity permitted.

The 600-size boxes are formed and spot welded from 14 gauge steel, and the enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. A hinged door with screw closure and a padlocking hasp secure the box, and a series of knockouts runs along each side. The drawing gives a 24.25 in x 30.25 in door, a 23.69 in x 29.86 in door opening and Ø0.25 in rear mounting holes on 21.00 in x 27.00 in centres.

The CSB600 is CSA Type 1 and complies with IEC 60529 IP20. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships boxed at 61 lbs (27.67 kg), and carries UPC 623980779485.
