The CSB604 is the 4-wire, 600 A splitter box in the CSB Series, delivered with factory-installed splitter blocks in a 30 in x 24 in x 7 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 178 mm) Type 1 enclosure. It is intended for electricians distributing a 4-wire service to multiple branch conductors indoors.
In the series ordering table this size is rated 600/600 A (copper/aluminum) and references the CSBL600 splitter block. The CSB Series is designed for indoor distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max using 3 or 4 wires, with 75 °C conductor ampacity permitted. The CSB603 is the 3-wire version and the CSB600 is the empty enclosure.
The CSB604 is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge steel and finished, enclosure and cover, in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. It features a hinged door with screw closure, a padlocking hasp and a series of knockouts on each side. Drawing dimensions include a 24.25 in x 30.25 in door, a 23.69 in x 29.86 in door opening and Ø0.25 in rear mounting holes on 21.00 in x 27.00 in centres.
