Hammond C4SP7342SBK1 42U Solid Cabinet Side Panel Pair, 42 in Depth

The C4SP7342SBK1 is a pair of solid side panels for the Hammond C4 modular server rack cabinet system, sized for 42U C4 frames with a 42.00 in (1067 mm) depth. It is intended for data center, enterprise IT, network and colocation builds where an open C4 frame needs to be closed in for airflow separation, equipment protection and a finished cabinet appearance.

Each panel is fabricated from mild steel and finished in black textured powder coat, matching the rest of the C4 platform. Within the C4 system, doors and panels are 16-gauge steel, working with the 14-gauge frame and 12-gauge reinforced corner brackets that give a fully assembled C4 cabinet its 3000 lb UL2416 load rating. Grounding and bonding provisions are carried through the frame, doors and panels; each panel includes a 10-32 x 1/2 bonding stud for connection to the cabinet ground.

Panel dimensions are 73.44 in (1865 mm) high by 38.44 in (976 mm), and the shipping weight for the pair is 102 lbs (46.27 kg). Each panel assembly comprises the solid side panel, a black plastic handle and four slotted quarter-turn latches, so panels mount and release without loose fasteners. Four 0.25 x 0.33 in slots are provided in the panel. Quarter-turn locks are available separately.

Note that C4 side panels are sold and supplied in pairs, and C4SP7342SBK1 is one part number covering both panels. The C4 series is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, and the powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. Individual components such as side panels are not UL2416 or seismic rated on their own; a complete cabinet assembled by Hammond is required to meet those certification requirements, including the 1200 lb dynamic seismic rating (IBC, CBC, NBC, ASCE).
