Hammond BWJ6A96 96-Inch 6 AWG Copper Bonding Jumper Wire

BWJ6A96 is a rack and cabinet ground kit consisting of a single 96.00 in (2438 mm) bonding wire jumper in #6 AWG stranded copper. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical installers who need to bond racks, cabinets, cable runways and enclosure panels back to a common grounding point as part of a structured bonding and grounding scheme.

The conductor is #6 AWG 266 strand copper, MTW/TEW UL1283 type, with green insulation and a yellow stripe for clear identification as a bonding conductor. The jumper is built with UL Listed components. One end is terminated with a crimped-on two-hole compression lug; the opposite end is supplied blunt cut, so it can be routed and terminated to suit the installation.

The compression lug on BWJ6A96 has two bolt holes measuring 0.28 in (7 mm) in diameter on 0.62 in (16 mm) centres, matching standard two-hole bonding pads, and the drawing identifies the termination for a 1/4 in stud. Mounting hardware is included for fastening to either 1/4-20 or 10-32 studs, and a stick-on grounding symbol is supplied for compliance labelling. Quick disconnecting terminals are not provided with this part.

Each kit includes one cable and ships at 1.1 lbs (0.50 kg). BWJ6A96 is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for GSA Schedule purchases, and manufactured in North America. A thread-forming bonding screw is offered as an accessory for the BWJ series.
