The 2DBI3 is a black double bit insert with a 3mm pin, part of the Quarter Turn Inserts and Keys range for Eclipse and Series 2000 enclosures. It is designed for panel builders, maintenance teams and OEMs who want to replace the standard slotted quarter turn with a format that a standard screwdriver cannot open.
The insert is field installable and replaces the standard quarter turn slot, so existing enclosures can be upgraded on site. Fitting it maintains the enclosure's NEMA, UL and CSA 12, 4 and 4X ratings. Because it is a non-slot insert, it provides extra security: standard screw drivers cannot open it.
The insert measures 0.62 in x 0.62 in x 0.97 in (16 mm x 16 mm x 25 mm) H x W x D, and the part drawing shows a 0.118 in pin diameter, matching the 3mm pin. It ships in a bag at 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg) and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
Keys are sold separately from inserts. The matching key is the PMKEY double bit key, which fits both this insert and the stainless version of the double bit insert. Choose this part when you want the black finish.
