Hammond 2SQK7 7mm Square Key for Quarter Turn Insert

The 2SQK7 is the 7mm square key in the Quarter Turn Inserts and Keys range. It fits the 2SQI7 7mm square insert, which is used on Eclipse and Series 2000 enclosures in place of the standard quarter turn slot. Maintenance technicians, electricians and facilities staff who service enclosures fitted with the 2SQI7 need this key to open them.

Keys are sold separately from inserts, so the 2SQK7 is ordered on its own - either alongside new 2SQI7 inserts or as a spare or replacement for field staff. The square insert it operates is a non-slot format, which is why standard screw drivers cannot open an enclosure fitted with it.

The manufacturer short description is "N 2000 7 MM SQUARE KEY" and the long description is "7mm square key, fits 2SQI7". The key ships in a bag at 0.1 lbs (0.05 kg) and is REACH and RoHS compliant.

If your enclosures use the triangle insert (2TRI7) instead, the matching key is the 2TRK7; for double bit inserts it is the PMKEY.

Because keys and inserts are ordered separately, you can order additional 2SQK7 keys for technicians and service vehicles so that staff can open every enclosure fitted with a 2SQI7 insert.
