Hammond 2CSB264818 48" Stainless Two-Door Console Base, Type 4X

The 2CSB264818 is a 48 inch single access console base in 304 stainless steel from the Series 2000 Modular Console System. It is meant for long consoles in environments that call for Type 4X protection, carrying panel mounted or rack mounted equipment beneath or beside other bases, terminals, desks or turrets.

On 48 inch units the front is closed by two outside hinged doors. The drawing gives an overall door width of 47.77 in at 25.50 in high, a door opening of 45.42 x 23.42 in, and clear space available on the doors of 21.37 in and 19.13 in wide by 23.43 in high. The door profiles add strength and are pre-punched for mounting options, and slotted quarter turn oil-tight latches keep them closed.

The body and doors are formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, oil resistant gaskets, stainless steel hardware and a natural smooth brushed finish. Enclosure dimensions are 26.00 in H x 48.00 in W x 17.30 in D (660 x 1219 x 439 mm), with 18.01 in inside depth. The sides and back are solid, the top is open, and the bottom is closed with a removable access panel.

This base is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12, 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and conforms to EIA RS-310-E. Shipping weight is 140 lbs (63.50 kg) on a skid.
