Hammond 2CLBX264818 48" Dual Access Four-Door Console Base

The 2CLBX264818 is a 48 inch dual access base for the Series 2000 Modular Console System. Because 48 inch and 60 inch bases use two outside hinged doors per face, this dual access model has two doors on the front and two on the back, opening a long console section to service from either side.

The drawing shows each door at 23.78 in wide by 25.50 in high, a door opening of 45.42 x 23.42 in, and 18.63 x 23.43 in of clear space available on the doors. Door profiles add strength and are pre-punched for mounting options. Slotted quarter turn oil-tight latches secure the doors, with tamper resistant and locking latches available as options.

The enclosure measures 26.00 in H x 48.00 in W x 16.50 in D (660 x 1219 x 419 mm), with a 17.93 in inside depth; the nominal listing is 26 x 48 x 18. It is formed from 14 gauge steel with continuously welded seams and finished in RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coating. The top is open for a base cover or other console components, and a gland plate is installed from inside the closed bottom.

Listed standards are UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 12, CSA Type 3R, 4, 12, 13, IEC 60529 IP66 and EIA RS-310-E. A bonding screw is provided on the door and ground studs on both sides of the body. The 2CLBX264818 ships on a skid at 142 lbs (64.41 kg).
