Hammond 2CLBX262418 24" Dual Access Console Base, Light Gray Steel

The 2CLBX262418 is the 24 inch dual access base unit of the Series 2000 Modular Console System. Where a single access base only opens at the front, this version has a solid door on both the front and the back, giving technicians access to panel mounted or rack mounted equipment from either side of the console.

Each 24 inch door can be hinged from either side and is held by slotted quarter turn oil-tight latches. The drawing shows each door at 23.81 in wide by 25.50 in high, a 21.42 x 23.42 in door opening and 18.63 x 23.43 in of clear space available on each door. The top is open for other console components, the sides are solid, and the closed bottom carries a gland plate installed from inside.

Enclosure dimensions are 26.00 in H x 24.00 in W x 16.50 in D (660 x 610 x 419 mm); the part is listed nominally as 26 x 24 x 18. Inside depth is 17.90 in. The body and doors are formed 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, oil resistant gaskets and RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coating.

Ratings are UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 12, CSA Type 3R, 4, 12, 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with EIA RS-310-E conformance. A bonding screw on the door and a ground stud on each body side are provided. Shipping weight is 95 lbs (43.09 kg), boxed.
