Hammond 2CLB264818 48" Two-Door Console Base, Light Gray Steel

The 2CLB264818 is a 48 inch wide, single access base unit for the Series 2000 Modular Console System. Its width makes it a practical base for longer control consoles where panel mounted or rack mounted equipment needs to sit below a desk, terminal or turret, or alongside another base.

At this width the front is closed by two outside hinged doors rather than one. Per the drawing the doors cover an overall 48.17 in, each 25.50 in high, with a door opening of 45.42 x 23.42 in and clear space available on the doors of 21.12 in and 18.63 in wide by 23.23 in high. Slotted quarter turn oil-tight latches secure the doors, which have profiles for added strength and are pre-punched for mounting options.

The body and doors are formed 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coating. Sides and back are solid, the top is open, and the bottom is closed with a removable access panel and gland plate installed from inside. Enclosure dimensions are 26.00 in H x 48.00 in W x 17.30 in D (660 x 1219 x 439 mm), with 18.01 in inside depth.

The unit is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 12, CSA Type 3R, 4, 12, 13 and IEC 60529 IP66 and conforms to EIA RS-310-E. A bonding screw on the door and ground studs on both body sides support grounding. It ships on a skid at 130 lbs (58.97 kg).
