Hammond 263CX 116VA 360V C.T. Plate Transformer, 5V/3A Filament

The 263CX is a 116 VA high voltage (plate) and filament power transformer from the 200 Series. With 287ma. of high voltage current, it suits builders and technicians who need a comparatively high-current, moderate-voltage B+ supply for tube equipment on a North American 115V line.

The primary is rated 115 VAC at 60 Hz. The A.C. high voltage secondary provides 360V C.T. at 287ma. R.M.S., and filament #1 provides 5V C.T. at 3A; there is no second filament winding.

As a 200 Series part it is an enclosed, 4 hole, chassis mount design with minimum 6 in leads and Class A insulation (105 degrees C). Units can be run full wave bridge or full wave C.T., are hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS, and follow a conservative design that is CSA certified (209651).

The primary offers two input choices. For 115 VAC input, use the white and gray wires and tape the black wire. If line voltage runs high (roughly 125V) and the secondary voltage reads too high, use the white and black wires and tape the gray wire. Never connect power to both the gray and black wires, as instantaneous destruction of the transformer will result.

Dimensions are A 2.50 in (64 mm), B 3.75 in (95 mm), C 3.06 in (78 mm), D 2.00 in (51 mm) and F 2.69 in (68 mm), with mounting slots of 0.20 x 0.38 in (5 x 10 mm). Shipping weight is 4.4 lbs (2.00 kg). The 263CX carries UPC 623980274300 and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
