The 1599TABSBKBAT is the small black 1599TAB tablet enclosure fitted with a battery door and compartment. It is intended for battery-powered handheld instruments and mobile data devices, especially designs with a touch screen, where a comfortable low-profile shape matters.
The case is molded from flame retardant ABS with a UL94 V-0 rating. Its two halves are joined by four M3-0.5 x 18mm cover screws that thread into installed M3 brass inserts, allowing repeated opening for battery or board service. The battery version includes a battery door, four battery spring clips for 2 x AA batteries and one 9V (PP3) adapter clip.
Overall size is 4.72 x 3.74 x 1.06 in (120 x 95 x 27 mm). The drawing gives inside dimensions of 111.48 mm long, 88.51 mm wide and 20.75 mm high, with a 2.75 mm wall.
