The 1599KSGYBAT is the general purpose, light gray 1599K handheld enclosure with a battery door. It offers an economical housing for portable battery-powered devices that need a wide top surface but not a flame retardant material; the flame retardant equivalent is 1599KGYBAT.
Box and lid are molded from general purpose ABS with a UL94 HB flame rating and closed with #4 x 5/8 in self-tapping screws into plastic posts. The recessed top accepts a membrane display or key pad, and the lap joint helps protect against dust and splashing water.
Nominal size is 220 x 140 x 41 mm (8.66 x 5.5 x 1.6 in), with a 40 mm depth in the series table. The drawing shows 213.58 mm inside length, 133.58 mm inside width and 33.00 mm inside height. With the battery compartment, the maximum PC board is 131 x 140.5 mm (board not supplied), on standoffs that accept #4 self-tapping screws.
The 1599KSGYBAT ships shrink wrapped with box, lid, battery door and 4 cover screws; recommended torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). Optional battery holder kits for 1599K battery door enclosures include the holder, wires and foam anti-rattle pad. RoHS and REACH compliant.
