The 1599ESGYBAT is the general purpose, light grey E-size 1599 Series handheld enclosure with a battery door. It is an economical option for battery-powered handheld electronics where the design does not call for a flame retardant enclosure.
The box and lid are general purpose ABS rated UL94 HB, assembled with self-tapping screws into plastic posts. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, battery door and 4 cover screws; recommended torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). Replacement #4 x 5/8" self-tapping cover screws are 1593MS100.
Size per the listing is 6.7 x 3.35 x 1.33 in (170 x 85 x 34 mm), shown as 170 x 86 x 35 mm in the ordering table. Inside dimensions on the drawing are 164.01 x 80.19 x 28.75 mm. The battery compartment limits the maximum P.C. board to 129 x 72 mm, fixed on standoffs that accept #4 self-tapping screws. Shipping weight is 0.28 lbs (0.13 kg).
