The 1599BSGY is the general purpose version of the B-size 1599 Series handheld enclosure, in light grey. It offers the same ergonomic styling as the flame retardant models at an economical price point, for handheld projects where a flame retardant rating is not required.
Box and lid are made from general purpose ABS with a UL94 HB flame rating (the series notes the general purpose plastic is not flame retardant). Assembly is with self-tapping screws into plastic posts; the purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws, and the recommended torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). Replacement cover screws are #4 x 3/4" self-tapping, sold 100 per pack as 1599BTS100.
