The 1599BGYBAT is the smallest (B size) member of the 1599 Series handheld enclosures, supplied in light grey flame retardant ABS with a battery door. It suits designers of portable meters, remote controls and handheld instruments who need a compact, ergonomic case with an accessible battery compartment.
The box and lid are molded from flame retardant ABS with a UL flammability rating of 94 V-0 and assemble with machine screws into integral brass bushings. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, battery door and 4 cover screws; the recommended cover screw torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). A recessed top accepts a membrane display or key pad, and lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water.
Size is 5.12 x 2.56 x 0.97 in (130 x 65 x 25 mm) per the part listing, with the drawing showing inside dimensions of 124.13 x 59.82 x 19.50 mm.
