The 1599BGYBATCP combines the compact B-size 1599 Series handheld enclosure with both a battery door and a factory-fitted belt clip. It is a light grey, flame retardant ABS case aimed at engineers building portable, battery-powered devices that are worn or carried by field staff.
Box and lid are flame retardant ABS with a UL flammability rating of 94 V-0, assembled with machine screws into integral brass bushings. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, battery door, belt clip, 2 belt clip screws and 4 cover screws. The series describes the clip as tough nylon fitted with insulated nylon screws to avoid internal interference. Recommended cover screw torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m).
The listed size is 5.12 x 2.56 x 0.97 in (130 x 65 x 25 mm); the ordering table lists it at 130 x 65 x 26 mm. Inside, the battery compartment leaves room for a P.C. board up to 89.25 x 53 mm, mounted on PC board standoffs that accept #4 self-tapping screws.
