The 1599BSGYBAT is the general purpose, light grey B-size 1599 Series handheld enclosure with a battery door. It is an economical choice for battery-powered handheld devices where a flame retardant enclosure is not specified.
The box and lid are general purpose ABS rated UL94 HB and assemble with self-tapping screws into plastic posts. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, battery door and 4 cover screws, and the recommended torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). Replacement cover screws are #4 x 3/4" self-tapping (1599BTS100, pack of 100).
Listed size is 5.12 x 2.56 x 0.97 in (130 x 65 x 25 mm); the drawing shows inside dimensions of 124.13 x 59.82 x 19.50 mm. The battery compartment reduces the usable board length, giving a maximum P.C. board of 89.25 x 53 mm on standoffs that accept #4 self-tapping screws. Shipping weight is 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg).
The battery door suits BH1AAAW, BH2AAAW and BS61 (9V) holder kits, and a 1599BD-BULK divider is available.
