The 1599EBKBAT is the E-size 1599 Series handheld enclosure in black flame retardant ABS, fitted with a battery door. It is aimed at portable instruments that run on AA, AAA or 9V cells and need a user-accessible battery compartment.
The box and lid are flame retardant ABS with a UL flammability rating of 94 V-0, assembled with machine screws into integral brass bushings. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, battery door and 4 cover screws; recommended torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). Replacement M3-0.5 x 12mm screws are 1599HMS100 or 1599HMS100BK.
Listed size is 6.7 x 3.35 x 1.33 in (170 x 85 x 34 mm); the ordering table gives 170 x 86 x 35 mm. The drawing shows inside dimensions of 164.01 x 80.19 x 28.75 mm, and with the battery compartment in place the maximum P.C. board is 129 x 72 mm on standoffs for #4 self-tapping screws. Shipping weight is 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).
