Hammond 1599BGY 130x65 mm Light Gray Flame-Retardant Handheld Case

The 1599BGY is the light gray, flame retardant version of the compact 1599B handheld enclosure. It offers the same ergonomic, hand-held shape as the black 1599BBK in a lighter color, for handheld instruments, controllers and keypad devices where a gray housing is preferred.

Box and lid are flame retardant ABS carrying UL94 V-0, and the case is designed to meet IP54 through lap joint construction. In the ordering table it measures 5.12 in (130 mm) long, 2.56 in (65 mm) wide and 1.02 in (26 mm) deep; the part page lists a nominal 130 x 65 x 25 mm. Inside it offers 124.33 x 59.33 x 19.25 mm, with room for a printed circuit board up to 53 x 123.5 mm.

Assembly uses M3-0.5 machine screws into integral brass bushings, at a recommended 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m), so the lid can be removed repeatedly. Board standoffs on the inside top and bottom accept #4 self-tapping screws. A recessed top takes a membrane display or key pad, and two keyhole knockouts in the base allow wall mounting.

The 1599BGY includes box, lid and 4 cover screws. If flame retardance is not required, the ordering table lists 1599BSGY as the general purpose grey equivalent, which uses self-tapping screws into plastic posts. Optional accessories include the 1599CLIPGY grey belt clip and 1599BD-BULK divider.
