Hammond 1597D3MTC6 DIN 3, 6 & 9 Terminal Cover With Holes

The 1597D3MTC6 is an Italtronic terminal insert with holes for the 1597DM Series of DIN rail mounted enclosures. Where a closed cover blocks access, this version is pre-holed, and the series accessory table lists it as the "With Holes" terminal cover for the DIN 3, DIN 6 and DIN 9 size groups. It is aimed at electronics designers and panel builders who house PCBs and terminal blocks in DIN rail enclosures.

It is made from PC-ABS rated UL94 V-0. The insert measures 2.07 in x 0.54 in x 0.79 in (53 mm x 14 mm x 20 mm), has a shipping weight of 0.01 lbs (0.00 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

In the 1597DM range the DIN group number is the number of terminals on each side of the enclosure; DIN 3, 6 and 9 enclosures all take the D3 family of terminal covers. The 1597D3MTC6 sits alongside blank closed, blank open, punch-out and bus-connector versions, so each side of an enclosure can be fitted to suit the wiring. Hammond points out that not every accessory fits every enclosure in a DIN size group, so check the enclosure drawing before ordering.
