Hammond 1597D3MTCP DIN 3, 6 & 9 Blank Open Terminal Cover

The 1597D3MTCP is a blank, open Italtronic terminal insert for the 1597DM Series of DIN rail mounted enclosures. The series accessory table lists it as "Blank, Open" for the DIN 3, DIN 6 and DIN 9 size groups, giving designers an alternative to the fully closed blank cover.

It differs physically from the other D3 terminal covers: at 2.07 in x 0.54 in x 0.45 in (53 mm x 14 mm x 11 mm) it is lower than the 20 mm-high closed, holed, punch-out and bus-connector versions. It is moulded from PC-ABS with a UL94 V-0 flame rating, ships at 0.01 lbs (0.00 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

DIN group numbers in the 1597DM range refer to the number of terminals on each side of the enclosure, and the DIN 3, 6 and 9 housings all use the D3 terminal-cover family. That shared family lets panel builders and OEM engineers keep one set of cover part numbers across three enclosure widths. Hammond notes that some accessories are not compatible with every enclosure in a DIN size group, so confirm fit on the enclosure drawing.

The 1597D3MTCP suits builds that house printed circuit boards, terminal blocks and other DIN rail electronics. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check the manufacturer's Chemical Resistance Statement before using solvents, thread-locking compounds or cutting fluids near the part.
