Hammond 1594EWBK 167mm Water-Tight Black Abs Pcb Enclosure, IP65

The 1594EWBK is the black water-tight version of the E size, the largest enclosure in the 1594 Heavy Duty ABS Enclosures series. As a rugged electronic instrument enclosure ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards, it gives OEM designers and integrators a larger sealed housing for electronics used where liquids are present.

It is molded in flame retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flame rating and is listed on the drawing as liquid resistant, Black RAL 9011, with a matte textured finish. The part page lists an IP65 rating; the series states that water-tight versions have been tested to and meet IP66. Walls follow the heavy duty design, averaging 0.13 in (3.3 mm).

Size is 6.57 in x 4.2 in x 2.56 in (167 mm x 107 mm x 65 mm). The drawing shows the assembly at 166.97 mm [6.57 in] by 106.97 mm [4.21 in] and 64.85 mm [2.55 in] high, with four M3x0.5 - 6H x 5.75 threaded holes in brass inserts for the lid screws.

The lid uses four M3 x 0.5 - 0.71 in (18 mm) long Phillips machine screws. Replacement machine screws with o-rings are sold as 1594WMS100 (pack of 100), and the E-size replacement gasket is 1594EGASKET. The 1594EWBK is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped at 0.58 lbs (0.26 kg), and can be factory modified; solid models are available in .stp or .x_t.
