The 1591XXBSBK is the economy version of the 1591XXB size, a nominal 114 x 63 x 31 mm enclosure with integral PC board standoffs in both the box and lid for horizontal board mounting. It offers the same footprint as the standard 1591XXBBK with a simpler self-tapping screw closure, for projects that do not require flame retardant material.
Economy versions are molded from general purpose plastic that is not flame retardant; the drawing specifies GPABS and the part data lists UL94 HB. The lid is assembled with #4 x 1/2" self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts, and black enclosures include black screws. Box, lid and 4 cover screws are included, with a recommended torque of (35-43) ozf.in / (25-30) cN.m.
Per the drawing the enclosure is 113.82 x 63.32 x 31.00 mm overall with an inside length of 108.15 mm, inside width of 57.65 mm and inside height of 27.00 mm. Boards up to 108.00 x 57.50 mm fit in the box or lid, and the smooth internal sides make connector installation easy. PC board mounting bosses inside the box and lid are sized for #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws, which are not included; PC board screws are available as 1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100.
The 1591XXBSBK is designed to meet IP54, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink wrapped at 0.13 lbs (0.06 kg). Replacement lid screws are 1591TS100BK or 1591TS100, and flanges 1591FBBK / 1591FBGY are sold separately.
