The 1591TSBK is the black economy version of the 120 x 80 x 59 mm (4.72 x 3.16 x 2.32 in) 1591 Series enclosure. Without mounting flanges, it is a compact project box for builders and OEMs whose design does not call for flame retardant plastic.
It is molded from general purpose ABS with a UL94 HB flame rating; economy versions are not flame retardant. Card guides in every side wall accept 1.5 mm (0.062") boards for vertical mounting, and lap joint construction keeps out dust and splashing water to an IP54 design.
Per the drawing, the box measures 120.00 x 80.20 x 58.90 mm overall with an inside cavity of 113.54 x 73.74 x 54.80 mm and 49.80 mm guide height. The lid is assembled with #4 self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts; black enclosures include black screws. Recommended torque is 42–57 ozf.in (30–40 cN.m).
The 1591TSBK includes box, lid and 4 cover screws, ships shrink wrapped at 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Replacement self-tapping screws are 1591TS100BK, and the 1591TC clear lid fits this size.
