The 1591TGY is a light gray, 120 x 80 x 59 mm (4.72 x 3.16 x 2.32 in) project box from the 1591 Series of ABS multipurpose enclosures with card guides. It has no mounting flanges and is the standard flame retardant version, a straightforward choice for electronics designers and hobbyists housing vertically mounted circuit boards.
It is molded from easy-to-machine flame retardant ABS carrying a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062") boards. Lap joint construction guards against dust and splashing water and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The lid is secured with M3 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws threaded into pre-installed brass inserts, suited to repetitive assembly and disassembly; light gray enclosures include nickel finish screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 35.5–42.5 ozf.in (25–30 cN.m). The 1591TGY assembly includes box, lid, 4 cover screws and brass inserts, and the 1591TC clear flame retardant polycarbonate lid is available as an accessory.
The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in shrink wrap. Factory modification such as milling, drilling and printing is offered, and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t.
