Hammond 1591STBU Ice Blue 110mm Polycarbonate Card-Guide Enclosure

The 1591STBU is a compact ice blue enclosure from the 1591T general purpose series, sized at 110 x 82 x 44 mm. The ice blue polycarbonate is almost totally transparent to blue, white and near-white LEDs, readouts and displays, so status lights and small displays show through the housing. It is aimed at designers packaging a single PCB with visible indicators.

The box is molded from flame retardant translucent polycarbonate that is easy to machine. A lap joint between the box and lid protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. Four M3 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws thread into integral brass bushings; the box, lid, 4 cover screws and pre-installed brass inserts are included. Recommended screw torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m).

The ordering table gives 4.33 in (110 mm) long, 3.23 in (82 mm) wide and 1.73 in (44 mm) deep. The drawing shows 110.10 x 82.20 x 44.00 mm overall and an inside cavity of 103.77 x 75.87 x 39.90 mm. Integral card guides accept 1.5 mm (0.062") PC cards, with a guide height of 34.90 mm and a 2.06 mm slot width.

The 1591STBU is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships in shrink wrap and weighs 0.23 lbs (0.10 kg). A clear lid only is available as 1591SC, solid models are offered in STEP or IGES, and factory machining or printing can be quoted.
