The 1591DSGY is a light gray, economy grade enclosure in the 1591D size of 150 x 80 x 50 mm (5.91 x 3.15 x 1.97 in), with no mounting flanges. It is a straightforward case for small electronic assemblies, test fixtures and prototypes where general purpose plastic is acceptable.
It is molded from general purpose ABS that is not flame retardant; the flame rating is UL94 HB. The lid is fixed by four nickel finish #4 self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts (recommended torque 42-57 ozf.in / 30-40 cN.m). Lap joint construction gives protection against dust and splashing water and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The 1591DSGY ships shrink wrapped with box, lid and 4 cover screws and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Accessories include 1591Z card adaptors for horizontal boards, 1591TS100 replacement screws and the 1591DC clear lid. Flame retardant gray is 1591DGY. It can also be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing.
