The 1591EBK is the black flame retardant ABS enclosure in the 1591E size, listed in the series table at 190 x 111 x 61 mm (7.48 x 4.37 x 2.40 in) and on the part page at 191 x 110 x 61 mm (7.5 x 4.35 x 2.39 in). It suits engineers housing bigger vertical PCBs, controllers or multi-board assemblies.
The case is molded from easy-to-machine FRABS rated UL94 V-0. Six M3-0.5 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws thread into pre-installed brass inserts; black enclosures include black screws. Recommended torque is 35.5-42.5 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). Lap joint construction provides protection against dust and splashing water, and the design meets IP54.
Inside, the drawing gives 183.52 x 103.53 x 56.60 mm (7.225 x 4.076 x 2.228 in). Card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062") boards at a guide height of 51.60 mm. The 1591EC clear polycarbonate lid fits this size, and 1591Z card adaptors enable horizontal board mounting.
The 1591EBK has no mounting flanges; flanged versions are 1591EFLBK (lid) and 1591EF2BK (bottom). It weighs 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg), ships shrink wrapped, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Note that the part page colour attribute reads Blue, while the series table and drawing list 1591EBK as black.
