Hammond 1590Z162G Replacement Silicone Gasket 2-Pack, 260 x 160 mm

The 1590Z162G is a pack of two pre-formed silicone rubber replacement gaskets for the 260 x 160 mm diecast aluminum enclosures in the 1590Z series. The ordering table lists it as the replacement gasket for six enclosures: 1590Z162, 1590Z162BK and 1590Z162GY (90 mm deep) and 1590Z163, 1590Z163BK and 1590Z163GY (160 mm deep). Maintenance teams and OEMs can keep spares on hand for boxes that are opened and closed often.

In these enclosures the lid seals against a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket seated in a tongue and groove joint, which protects against dust and water. The gasket has a temperature rating of -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), and the part page lists an IP66 rating for the gasket.

The part page gives the size as 10.1 in x 6.16 in x 0.14 in (257 mm x 156 mm x 4 mm). On the drawing the gasket measures 10.099 in [256.51 mm] by 6.162 in [156.51 mm] with a cross-section of 0.138 in [3.50 mm] by 0.148 in [3.75 mm]. The material is silicone rubber; the drawing names an alternate material made by SHIN-ETSU, Type KE-931U and KE-941U (1:1) mixture.
