The 1590WQF is the square 1590Q diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate, in natural aluminum. Nominally 4.72 x 4.72 x 1.34 in (120 x 120 x 34 mm) and designed to meet IP65, it lets installers mount a low-profile sealed electronics box directly to a wall, panel or machine.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has an unpainted natural aluminum surface that is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
The bottom flange is welded; with it the overall length is 149.10 mm (5.870 in) and overall height 35.50 mm (1.398 in). The inside measures 113.27 x 113.77 x 28.90 mm (4.460 x 4.479 x 1.138 in).
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
