The 1590WQBK is a square 1590Q-size diecast aluminum enclosure, 4.72 x 4.72 x 1.34 in (120 x 120 x 34 mm), in textured black with a watertight IP65 design. With no mounting flanges, it offers a clean black housing for low-profile electronics built by integrators, designers and OEMs.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, with black screws included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
Inside, it provides 113.27 x 113.77 x 28.90 mm (4.460 x 4.479 x 1.138 in), and the listed maximum P.C. board size is 112.82 x 112.82 mm.
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
