The 1590WQFL is the square 1590Q watertight diecast aluminum enclosure with a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. It measures 4.72 x 4.72 x 1.34 in (120 x 120 x 34 mm) nominal, comes in natural aluminum and is designed to meet IP65, suiting installers mounting low-profile electronics to walls and panels.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has an unpainted natural aluminum surface that is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
The flanged lid gives an overall length of 150.00 mm (5.906 in), and the inside measures 113.27 x 113.77 x 28.90 mm (4.460 x 4.479 x 1.138 in).
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
