The 1590WNFLBK is the textured black version of the watertight 1590N enclosure with a flanged lid. It measures 4.75 x 2.61 x 1.42 in (121 x 66 x 36 mm), is designed to meet IP65 and includes internal card guides, suiting OEM engineers who want a slide-in board mounting and a black finish on a wall-mounted box.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, with black screws included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
Inside, the box measures 113.71 x 57.81 x 35.35 mm (4.477 x 2.276 x 1.392 in), with card guides 31.13 mm (1.226 in) high. The cover fastens with four M3.5 x 0.6 screws, and the flanged lid gives an overall length of 149.50 mm (5.886 in).
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X M3.5x0.6 threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
