The 1590WN1 is the natural-finish watertight version of the 1590N1 diecast aluminum enclosure, measuring 4.77 x 2.58 x 1.57 in (121 x 66 x 40 mm) with no mounting flanges. Its rectangular shape suits handheld-size electronics, control modules and interface boards for designers, integrators and OEM builders.
Per the drawing, the outside measures 121.20 x 65.50 x 39.80 mm, and the inside is 115.91 mm long, 60.21 mm wide and 35.30 mm (1.390 in) high. The part page lists PC board limits of 60.21 mm and 115.91 mm. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less, and the lid height is 0.16 in (4 mm).
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine for switches, displays and cable entries. The unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges, and lap joint construction where lid and box meet guards against dust and splashing water.
Designed to meet IP65, it includes a silicone gasket supplied loose inside the enclosure, the box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws. Recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m, or 25-30 cN.m with the gasket; 1590NGASKET is the replacement gasket kit. RoHS and REACH compliant; ships shrink wrapped at 0.38 lbs (0.17 kg).
