Hammond 1590WCE IP65 Watertight Diecast Enclosure, 120x100x65 mm

The 1590WCE is the water-tight version of the 1590CE size, a 120 x 100 x 65 mm diecast aluminum enclosure in the 1590 Series. It has no mounting flanges and comes in natural aluminum, giving electronics builders and OEM engineers a roomy, IP65-rated metal box for PC boards and components.

Box and lid are made from diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine. Lap joint construction where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water, and the side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting. The natural version is left unpainted and vibra finished, giving a smooth surface with no sharp edges that is ready to machine or paint.

The listed size is 4.74 x 3.95 x 2.54 in (120 x 100 x 65 mm), matching the nominal 4.72 x 3.94 x 2.56 in in the ordering table. The drawing gives an outside body of 120.42 x 100.41 x 64.57 mm and inside dimensions of 113.38 mm long, 92.68 mm wide and 60.35 mm high. Maximum PC board size is 112.38 x 91.68 mm, and the lid is 0.16 in (4 mm) high.

This enclosure uses four metric M3.5 x 0.6 cover screws in factory-tapped holes. The assembly includes the box, lid, screws and a silicone gasket supplied loose inside. Recommended torque is 25-30 cN.m with the gasket. Matching accessories are 1550WMS100 stainless O-ring screws and the 1590CEGASKET replacement gasket kit. RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg).
