Hammond 1590WBSBK 112x61mm Deep IP65 Black Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590WBSBK is the black textured, water-tight 1590BS diecast aluminum enclosure, a deeper box on the 1590B footprint with no mounting flanges. It suits OEM engineers, instrument builders and integrators looking for a compact painted metal housing with extra depth, designed to meet IP65.

Construction is diecast aluminum alloy for box and lid. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. A lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water. The silicone gasket is included and supplied loose, so the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later.

Listed size on the part page is 4.41 x 2.38 x 1.65 in (112 x 60 x 42 mm); the series ordering table shows a nominal 4.41 x 2.40 x 1.50 in (112 x 61 x 38 mm). The drawing gives outside dimensions of 112.00 x 60.50 x 42.00 mm [4.409 x 2.382 x 1.654 in] and inside dimensions of 106.47 x 54.97 x 38.00 mm [4.192 x 2.164 x 1.496 in]. The maximum PC board is 52.97 x 104.47 mm, and side wall draft is 2 degrees or less.

Each 1590WBSBK includes box, lid and 4 cover screws for factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes. Recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]; with the gasket, 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in]. Shipping weight is 0.51 lbs (0.23 kg), and it is RoHS and REACH compliant.
