Hammond 1590WBFLBK 112x61x31mm IP65 Black Diecast Enclosure, Flanged Lid

The 1590WBFLBK is the black textured, water-tight 1590B-size diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged lid for wall mounting. It is a compact, painted metal housing for product engineers, panel builders and integrators that mounts through the lid and is designed to meet IP65.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, a material that is tough yet easy to machine. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint that holds a lasting finish, even after machining; black screws are included to enhance appearance. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the included silicone gasket is supplied loose inside the enclosure.

Nominal size is 4.41 x 2.40 x 1.22 in (112 x 61 x 31 mm), with the part page listing 4.43 x 2.38 x 1.22 in (113 x 60 x 31 mm). According to the drawing, the enclosure measures 138.00 mm [5.433 in] across the lid flange, 60.50 mm [2.382 in] wide and 31.00 mm [1.220 in] high. The interior is 107.05 x 55.45 x 27.00 mm [4.215 x 2.183 x 1.063 in], and the maximum PC board is 53.45 x 105.05 mm, with side wall draft of 2 degrees or less.

The lid flange provides four 3.50 mm [0.138 in] mounting holes. Each 1590WBFLBK includes box, lid and 4 cover screws for factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; torque to 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. Shipping weight is 0.34 lbs (0.15 kg), and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
