Hammond 1590WBFBK 112x61x31mm IP65 Black Diecast Enclosure, Flanged Base

The 1590WBFBK is the black textured, water-tight 1590B-size diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate. It gives engineers and integrators a compact, painted metal housing that fixes down through its base and is designed to meet IP65.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy and the bottom flange is welded to the box. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish even after machining, with black screws included for a matched appearance. The lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water. A silicone gasket is included, supplied loose inside the enclosure for fitting after machining or painting.

Nominal dimensions are 4.41 x 2.40 x 1.22 in (112 x 61 x 31 mm), and the part page lists 4.43 x 2.38 x 1.22 in (113 x 60 x 31 mm). The drawing shows 140.21 mm [5.520 in] across the flange, a 112.40 mm [4.425 in] x 60.50 mm [2.382 in] box body and 32.50 mm [1.280 in] of overall height. The interior is 107.05 x 55.45 x 27.00 mm [4.215 x 2.183 x 1.063 in]; maximum PC board size is 53.45 x 105.05 mm, and side wall draft is 2 degrees or less.

The 1590WBFBK comes with box, lid and 4 cover screws for factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, to be torqued to 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. Shipping weight is 0.4 lbs (0.18 kg), and it is RoHS and REACH compliant.
