Hammond 1590WBBSFL 120x94x42mm IP65 Diecast Enclosure, Flanged Lid

The 1590WBBSFL is a natural-finish, water-tight diecast aluminum enclosure in the deeper 1590BBS size, with the wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. It is a good fit for integrators and OEM engineers who need extra internal height in a housing that mounts lid-side to a wall or panel and is designed to meet IP65.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. The unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges, and lap joint construction at the lid seam guards against dust and splashing water. The silicone gasket included with this liquid-resistant version is supplied loose inside the enclosure, so machining and painting can happen before it is fitted.

Nominal size is 4.72 x 3.70 x 1.65 in (120 x 94 x 42 mm); the part page lists 4.7 x 3.7 x 1.66 in (119 x 94 x 42 mm). The drawing shows 148.00 mm [5.827 in] across the lid flange, 94.00 mm [3.701 in] width and 42.10 mm [1.657 in] height. Interior dimensions are 113.48 mm [4.468 in] long, 87.98 mm [3.464 in] wide and 37.85 mm [1.490 in] high, with a maximum PC board of 85.98 x 111.48 mm and side wall draft of 2 degrees or less.

The lid flange has four 3.50 mm [0.138 in] mounting holes. Supplied are the box, lid and 4 cover screws for the factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The 1590WBBSFL ships at 0.33 lbs (0.15 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
