Hammond 1590WBB2FLBK 120x94x38mm IP65 Black Diecast Enclosure, Flanged Lid

The 1590WBB2FLBK is a black textured, water-tight diecast aluminum enclosure in the 1590BB2 size with a wall-mounting flange cast into the lid. It suits OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who want a finished-looking metal box that bolts directly to a surface and is designed to meet IP65.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, easy to machine for connectors and controls. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to match. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet guards against dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket ships loose inside the enclosure for fitting after any machining or painting.

The nominal size is 4.72 x 3.70 x 1.50 in (120 x 94 x 38 mm). Per the drawing, the enclosure measures 148.00 mm [5.827 in] across the lid flange and 37.75 mm [1.486 in] tall overall. Inside, you get 113.77 mm [4.479 in] of length, 88.27 mm [3.475 in] of width and 33.50 mm [1.319 in] of height, with a maximum PC board size of 84.83 x 110.33 mm and side wall draft of 2 degrees or less.

Four 3.50 mm [0.138 in] holes in the lid flange handle mounting. Included are the box, lid and 4 cover screws for the factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; torque them to 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] when the gasket is installed. Shipping weight is 0.59 lbs (0.27 kg), and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
