Hammond 1590VFBK 119x120x94 mm Black Diecast Box, Flanged Base

The 1590VFBK is the deep 1590V diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate, finished in textured black. It is built for integrators and OEM engineers who need a tall, surface-mounted metal housing for larger components or multiple circuit boards.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy and the bottom flange is welded to the box. The textured black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. The lap joint where lid and box meet guards against dust and splashing water; this standard version is designed to meet IP54.

Listed size is 4.7 in x 4.72 in x 3.69 in (119 mm x 120 mm x 94 mm), with a nominal ordering-table size of 4.72 in x 4.72 in x 3.70 in (120 mm x 120 mm x 94 mm). Across the flange the drawing gives 149.10 mm [5.870 in] overall length and an overall height of 95.30 mm [3.752 in]. Inside, the box is 111.06 mm x 111.06 mm x 88.70 mm, taking PC boards up to 110.21 mm x 110.21 mm.

The box, lid and 4 cover screws are supplied, with factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes and a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The water-tight 1590WVFBK and the 1590QGASKET replacement gasket kit are listed for sealed builds. The 1590VFBK is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 1.18 lbs (0.54 kg).
