Hammond 1590QF 120x120mm Natural Diecast Aluminum Box, Flanged Bottom

The 1590QF is a natural aluminum 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate, built on the square 120 x 120 x 34 mm (4.72 x 4.72 x 1.34 in) 1590Q body. The flange lets integrators, electricians and OEM teams bolt the box directly to a panel, wall or chassis instead of adding separate brackets.

The bottom flange is welded to the box. On the drawing, overall length across the flange is 149.10 mm (5.870 in), overall height including the bottom plate is 35.50 mm (1.398 in), and the flange mounting holes sit 137.82 mm (5.426 in) apart. Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy with lap joint construction that protects against dust and splashing water; this standard version is designed to meet IP54. The natural finish is unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.

Internal space is 113.27 mm (4.460 in) long, 113.77 mm (4.479 in) wide and 28.90 mm (1.138 in) high, with a listed maximum P.C. board size of 112.82 x 112.82 mm. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less to make board mounting easier.

The lid closes with four included 6-32 UNC screws into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with a gasket. For IP65, order the water-tight 1590WQF or fit the 1590QGASKET kit. The enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.78 lbs (0.35 kg).
