The 1590LLBFBK is one of the smallest boxes in the 1590 series: a 51 x 51 x 25 mm diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate and a black textured finish. It suits OEM engineers and technicians who need a compact, rugged housing for a small circuit board, sensor interface or signal module that must be bolted down to a panel or surface.
Box and lid are made from diecast aluminum alloy, a material that is tough yet easy to machine. The black version is coated with polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to match. The bottom flange is welded to the box, and the lid and box meet in a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water; the standard version is designed to meet IP54.
Per the drawing, the box measures 50.50 mm [1.988 in] square and 25.00 mm [.984 in] high, with an overall length of 78.99 mm [3.110 in] across the flange. Inside space is 45.63 x 40.50 x 21.00 mm, and the listed maximum PC board size is 44.83 x 44.83 mm. A low side wall draft angle of 2° or less makes board mounting easier.
The assembly ships with box, lid and 4 cover screws that thread into factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m.
