Hammond 1590KGASKET IP65 Silicone Gasket 2-Pack, 125mm Square Boxes

The 1590KGASKET is a two-pack of pre-formed silicone gaskets for the 125 mm square 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosures. It is listed as the optional replacement gasket kit for the 1590K and 1590KK families (4.92 in x 4.92 in footprint, 79 mm and 57 mm heights), covering the standard, black, flanged-base and flanged-lid versions.

Standard 1590 enclosures are designed to meet IP54. This kit lets you upgrade an IP54 enclosure to IP65, and it also serves as a replacement for the gasket supplied with the water-tight versions. Because the gasket is applied afterwards, the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later, which suits OEM engineers and builders who drill, mill or finish boxes before final assembly.

When converting a standard enclosure to a watertight box, the manufacturer recommends also ordering watertight screws: stainless steel with an O-ring, offered in packs of 100 as 1590WMS100 (6-32 x 1/2") or 1590WMS100BK in black. The 1590KGASKET is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships in a bag and weighs 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg).
