The 1590KK is a low-profile square enclosure in the 1590 Series diecast aluminum family, sized 4.91 in x 4.91 in x 2.24 in (125 mm x 125 mm x 57 mm). It shares the 125 mm footprint of the taller 1590K but is shallower, making it a good fit for flatter circuit boards, compact controllers and interface electronics built by OEM engineers and integrators.
The drawing gives outside dimensions of 124.80 mm [4.913 in] square and 57.00 mm [2.244 in] tall, with an inside length and width of 116.94 mm [4.604 in] and inside height of 51.30 mm [2.020 in]. The maximum P.C. board size is 116.38 mm x 116.38 mm, and side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easy board mounting.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine. This natural version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. The lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590KK is designed to meet IP54. It has no mounting flanges; flanged-base (1590KKF) and flanged-lid (1590KKFL) versions are available.
The assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws threaded into factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The 1590KGASKET kit upgrades it to IP65 when lid screws are torqued to 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in], and the water-tight version is 1590WKK. RoHS and REACH compliant; 0.92 lbs (0.42 kg) shipping weight, shrink wrapped.
