For a compact housing that bolts down and still looks finished, the 1590G2FBK combines the 1590G2 size of 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1.22 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 31 mm) with a welded bottom flange and a textured black finish. It serves OEM engineers, installers and system integrators mounting small electronics to walls, panels or chassis.
On the manufacturer drawing the flange extends the overall length to 124.46 mm [4.900 in], with 3.96 mm [.156 in] holes on 113.18 mm [4.456 in] centres, and overall height with the flange is 32.50 mm [1.280 in]. The interior is 94.92 mm [3.737 in] x 44.92 mm [1.768 in] x 27.00 mm [1.063 in], and the maximum P.C. board is 93.82 x 43.82 mm.
The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid carry a tough textured black polyester powder paint that keeps a lasting finish even after machining; black screws come with it. Lap joint construction protects against dust and splashing water, the enclosure is designed to meet IP54, and a 2°-or-less side wall draft simplifies board mounting.
The 1590G2FBK ships shrink wrapped with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws (50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in] recommended). The water-tight black version is 1590WG2FBK; alternatively the 1590GGASKET kit upgrades to IP65. RoHS and REACH compliant, 0.26 lbs (0.12 kg).
