The 1590G2BK is a 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1.22 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 31 mm) diecast aluminum enclosure finished in textured black. It gives product designers, OEM engineers and integrators a compact metal housing with enough height for taller components, in a finish that suits front-of-panel or customer-facing equipment.
Cast from aluminum alloy, the box and lid are coated with a tough textured polyester powder paint that holds a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included to match. A lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
Per the drawing the outside is 100.00 x 50.00 x 31.00 mm [3.937 x 1.969 x 1.220 in], and the inside is 94.92 mm [3.737 in] long, 44.92 mm [1.768 in] wide and 27.00 mm [1.063 in] high. The largest P.C. board listed is 93.82 x 43.82 mm, and the side walls are drafted at 2° or less for easy board mounting.
The 1590G2BK ships shrink wrapped with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws for factory-tapped holes; tighten to 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. For IP65, choose the 1590WG2BK water-tight version or install the 1590GGASKET kit. RoHS and REACH compliant, 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg).
