The 1590FGASKET is a two-pack of pre-formed silicone gaskets for 1590F diecast aluminum enclosures, the 7.40 in x 7.40 in x 2.64 in (188 mm x 188 mm x 67 mm) size. It is for anyone who wants to upgrade a standard IP54 enclosure to IP65 protection, or replace the gasket in a water-tight version.
Per the ordering table, this kit is the optional replacement gasket for 1590F, 1590FFL and 1590FF enclosures and their water-tight 1590WF, 1590WFFL and 1590WFF equivalents, in natural or black (1590FBK, 1590FFLBK, 1590FFBK, 1590WFBK, 1590WFFLBK, 1590WFFBK).
Each gasket has an adhesive backing for easy installation and is applied to the lid. Because the gasket is added separately, the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later. The silicone carries a temperature rating of -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F).
The enclosure is designed to meet IP65 with the gasket properly installed and the lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). When converting a standard box, the series notes recommend also ordering the watertight stainless steel screws with O-ring. The kit is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag, weighing 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg).
